Below is a list of organizations that provide free legal services for low-income individuals throughout Pennsylvania. For more information, please visit their respective websites.

  • Ayuda Community Center

Provides free legal advice and services. This legal clinic in Hunting Park operates twice a month (the first and third Tuesday of the month) and provides an hour session with a prestigious lawyer with expertise various types of law, from Immigration to family law. Walk-ins are welcome and they also take appointments.

  • Community Legal Services

In 1966, The Philadelphia Bar Association established Community Legal Services (CLS) as an independent 501(c)(3) organization to provide free legal services, in civil matters, to low-income Philadelphians. Since its founding, CLS has served more than one million clients who could not afford to pay for legal representation and who would have faced a variety of devastating ends without dedicated, knowledgeable attorneys on their side. They have two locations:

  • Disabilities Rights Network

A Pennsylvania statewide, non-profit corporation designated as the federally-mandated organization to advance and protect the civil rights of adults and children with disabilities. DRN works with people with disabilities and their families, their organizations, and their advocates to ensure their right to live in their communities with the services they need, to receive a full and inclusive education, to live free of discrimination, abuse and neglect, and to have control and self-determination over their services.

  • Education Law Center

Since 1975, the Education Law Center of Pennsylvania (ELC) has worked to make good public education a reality for Pennsylvania’s most vulnerable children – poor children, children of color, children with disabilities, English language learners, children in foster homes and institutions, and others.

  • F.A.C.E. (Families’ and Children’s Equality)

FACE was founded in 1978 for the purpose of advocating children’s rights to full access to both parents and their extended families, and providing a self-help support group for non-custodial and/or non-residential parents. The group doesn’t provide legal advice but rather relies on each other’s experiences to help each other

  • Juvenile Law Center

The oldest non-profit, public interest law firm for children in the United States. Founded in 1975 by four new graduates of Temple Law School in Philadelphia, Juvenile Law Center has become a national advocate for children’s rights, working across the country to enforce and promote the rights and well-being of children who come into contact with the justice, child welfare and other public systems.

  • Legal Clinic for the Disabled Children’s Health Initiative

Provides free high-quality legal services to low-income people with physical disabilities and to the deaf and hard of hearing in Philadelphia, Bucks, Chester, Delaware and Montgomery Counties, Pennsylvania.

  • PA Health Law Project

PHLP provides free legal services to lower-income consumers, seniors, and persons with disabilities who are having trouble accessing publicly funded healthcare coverage or services. If you are denied or terminated from enrollment in a publicly funded healthcare program or if you have a service denied, reduced, or terminated, PHLP may provide you free direct representation on your appeal.

This organization has been providing free civil legal services to low-income residents of Philadelphia since 1996.

  • Women Against Abuse Legal Clinic

The Legal Center offers free legal advocacy and representation for both males and females dealing with relationship violence-related legal matters, including: Protection From Abuse (PFA); Child Custody and Child Support; Legal Options Counseling; Safety Planning; and Court Accompaniment.

  • Women’s Law Project

Provides legal counseling services for many issues pertaining to women’s rights, including: Interpersonal Violence; Child Custody and Support; Separation and Divorce; Spousal Support; and Employment Issues.
